Piermario Morosini: 100-word hero #26

One Saturday afternoon in the Stadio Adriatico made our petty football squabbles seem so small and insignificant.
In a tragic instant a young Livorno player collapsed and died playing the game he loved.
A boy who, despite a difficult upbringing, realised his dream of becoming a professional footballer.
A former Under 21 international, he was rightly admired for his determination and great attitude to the game.
At just 25, he was robbed of everything he might yet have had to achieve both on the pitch and in life. We have all been left feeling cheated.
Rest in peace, Piermario Morosini.
